“I’ve been an instructor at Viva for a year and have fallen in love with this place and this amazingly strong, beautiful community! Having attended and taught various group fitness classes for over eight years, I’ve seen the importance of having a positive and safe environment where you are surrounded by those with similar goals. As a former athlete and a certified Barre & Bounce Instructor, I’m so grateful to spread the joy of living a realistic, healthy lifestyle and having a ton of fun while doing it!”

“As an Exercise Science major and collegiate athlete I was always on the search to spread my passion of health and fitness while finding ways to make my body feel and function better. Viva’s non-traditional workout methods was the exact place that I found this. I know it’s a place where people can improve and become their best selves without judgement. I will be offering personal training, along with HIIT Bounce classes."
My fitness journey started when I was 24, over 250 pounds and suffering from almost debilitating depression. I walked into the gym as a last ditch effort and found myself on a spin bike, terrified, barely able to breathe and left with a desire to change my life and my mental state by becoming active and healthy. Since then, I've earned my NASM, ACE and AFAA, won Best Trainer in Boise, became the Group Fitness Director for 2 local gyms, and earned 13 group fitness format licenses. I am currently working on my 200 hour RYT and have a goal to become a master trainer with Buti Yoga with in the next two years.
My heart beats to care for others & I believe it defines who I am, both professionally & personally. I am married to a local artist, who's the hottest man I've ever met. We have 2 girls; one daughter who, as my polar opposite, geeks out on science and math equations and knows Star Wars back to front, and the baby...well, she has completely flipped our lives upside-down in the best of ways. I love disco, eye makeup, and glitter. I consider myself to be a complete musical theatre nerd, I can play guitar, I dabble in photography, I really try to garden, and I am learning how to snowboard. None of those things I do well, but I someday I believe I will. I am passionate, almost to a fault, and I don't know how to slow down.
Fun fact: I speak in FRIENDS quotes and if I'm honest, David Bowie in Labyrinth was my first crush, probably also where my addiction to fabulous leggings started.

Born and raised in a small town in Canada, hockey and soccer were a huge part of my life. In my journey of wanting to become a pro athlete I suffered from a severe injury in a soccer game, where I severed 3 of the 4 ligaments in my left knee. After 2 years on crutches, 4 surgeries, constant PT and learning to walk again I realized my goal of going pro probably wouldn’t happen. One doctor told me to find a sit-down job for the rest of my life and that I’d never be able to play sports again. I left his office and said to myself “nope!”
One year later I was product testing running shoes for New Balance, playing hockey, and attending fitness classes every week, I’ve always had a passion for fitness and for helping others reach their goals (no matter what they are, fitness or otherwise). My heart longs to help women feel beautiful and confident. My love for fitness increased beyond measure (which I didn’t think was possible) after getting my certification in Barre.
I absolutely love teaching and I am so excited to be part of this amazing team here at VivaFit! I am brand new to Boise (relocation for my hubby’s job). I am excited to explore this new city and meet all you amazing people! I am an artist, entrepreneur, fitness, fashion and coffee lover, always up for an adventure and LOVE travelling! Can’t wait to meet you all, and see you in class!

Justine is a french-fry fanatic, literature lover, mother of three, and full time secondary English teacher. After having her second daughter and acquiring her Master’s degree in education, she realized she needed to balance out her academic endeavors with some physical pursuits. To support her own health and happiness, as well as her family’s, she hopped on a tramp and started bouncing. Ever since, bounce class has been one of her happy places!
